HI-CT Hybrid

The Toyota Hi-CT offers a new degree of ‘coolness’ and new ways to have fun in a departure from conventional vehicle styling. This is an edgy, urban vehicle inspired by youthful lifestyle.

The unrestrained cool look of the Hi-CT portrays a new level of ‘cool’ and sense of enjoyment with its unconstrained dimensions of 3300mm X 1695mm and 1780mm (L x W x H).

Plug-in hybrid technology is adopted for the powertrain which allows the convenience of plug-in charging of the batteries when the vehicle is not being used and an extended duty cycle when running on the battery powered motor only. When needed a regular internal combustion engine is available to provide motive power and recharge the batteries.

The Hi-CT comes with a 100 volt AC (normal domestic power in Japan) socket that makes energy stored in the plug-in hybrid system available for a variety of applications. Especially cool in this vehicle’s intended market.

Also featured is a removable rear storage space, or boot, and a deck where surfboards, bicycles, and other equipment can be loaded for transport.
